Featuring diagonal bands of mosaic colourwork between Latvian braids, interspersed with bands of garter stitch, this scarf is inspired by Cosmatesque mosaics decorating the columns in the cloisters of the basilica of San Giovanni Laterano in Rome.

150g Dunrobin (A)
50g Rowanberry (B)

Quantities may vary depending upon gauge and type of yarn used.

Needles and Notions
3.25mm/US 3 preferred needle for medium width flat knitting (or size required to obtain gauge). Tapestry needle for finishing.

Gauge
38 sts and 52 rows to 10cm/4in, after wet blocking, across garter stitch. Equivalent gauge across mosaic colourwork is 38 sts and 66 rows to 10cm/4in. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge.

One size: length 183cm/72in, width 20cm/8in.

Skills Required
Worked diagonally, the pattern uses Latvian braids and mosaic (slipped-stitch) colourwork which is fully charted with written instructions requiring no prior knowledge.

Pattern has been fully tech edited.
