Last Cami of Summer
Layered over a contrasting tank, this easy to make cami is a nice late-summer addition to your hot weather wardrobe. A simple net stitch with subtle detailing at the lower hem make it a quick project you can make in a few sittings. Slight shaping at the waist creates a more fitted garment that you can easily customize for your figure. Use it as a transitional piece over a short sleeved tee as the evenings begin to cool.
After many comments (pro and con) about my old Floral Cami pattern, I decided to create an updated and better fitting design. This cami has a similar net-type stitch, with a simpler shell trim. I think it is a better designed piece as it fits better, has a more detailed strap and top border, and is written in a manner that encourages, but does not require, customizing. After all, no two of us are shaped the same and I hope this pattern addresses our individual fit and style preferences.
