Lars (or Sloth from The Goonies) Crochet Pattern – With Optional Booty + Bulge

Hey you guyyyyys! Meet Lars—my cheeky tribute to a certain iconic Goonie with a big heart and unforgettable face. This intermediate-level amigurumi pattern comes with two versions:
The full booty-and-bulge experience for maximum rump appeal
OR
A simplified, smoother version for folks who prefer their Lars a little less thicc.

Two body styles: one with realistic shaping, one with a simpler silhouette

Materials Needed:
• 50g each of size 3 DK yarn in Grey, Blue, Light Peach
• 20g each in Black, Red, Yellow, Brown
• Scrap yarn in White
• 3.00 mm crochet hook
• Yarn needle
• Fiber fill
• Stitch marker
• Two ½-inch blue buttons (only if piece is for ages 3+)
• Black and white acrylic paint

Notes:
• Lars’ legs, body, and head are worked in one piece from the bottom up, in continuous rounds—no joining unless noted.
• Arms, ears, suspenders, and emblem are made separately and sewn on.
• Final piece stands about 10 inches tall.
• Safety first: buttons should only be used if your finished Lars is intended for someone over age 3.
