This is a beginner friendly pattern, but requires basic knowledge of crochet stitches:
magic ring, single crochet, back loop crochet and how to crochet in spiral.
Written in US crochet terms
You will need:
3 mm crochet hook, yarn needle, stitch marker, scissors, 2 safety eyes (I used 7 mm eyes), slicker brush (optional), yellow yarn (approx. 25g / 35m, I used Lion Brand FEELS LIKE BUTTA but you can use any DK or aran yarn, size of the chick might vary slightly) and about a meter of orange and black yarn to embroider the beak and feet.
My tension is 6 stitches/ 6 rounds = 2.5 x 2.5 cm.
Finished chick will be about 8 cm tall.
