L'Arabesque Shawl
With its gently curving lace pattern and scalloped border this side to side crescent shawl may just be the most versatile shawl pattern you ever own.
It’s worked in a modular fashion with charts and instructions that you can use in any manner you like to get the size and shape you prefer.
You can use any yarn and needle size to get a fabric you like, and then just knit each pattern module as many times as you need to get the size and shape you prefer.
The shawl shown in the pictures used approximately 650 yards of a fingering weight yarn and size US 7 (4.5 mm) needles. It used the beginning chart, 6 increase repeats, 2 centers, 6 decrease repeats, and the end chart for a shawl that measures approximately 72” (183 cm) in length and 18” (46 cm) in depth at the widest point after blocking.
The pattern contains all necessary charts with completely written out instructions for each chart.
