Lapiline is an exploration into faux entrelac and patchwork. It’s patchwork stripe magic! This cowl is a great intro project to this wonderful stitch pattern that is super simple. It’s only knit stitches, yarn overs, k2tog and ssk – easy! It is a great pattern to stash bust with mini skeins, advent calendar yarn, leftovers and single special skeins.

Included in the pattern is a colouring page where you can colour in a cowl to plan your patchwork stripes whether you choose to use 2 colours or even more for ultimate stash busting.

PATTERN NOTES
This faux entrelac cowl is knit in the round to make a tube with the ends grafted together. The cowl can be made longer or shorter by working more number of pattern repeats to obtained desired length.

The cowl begins with a provisional crochet with waste yarn.

The provisional cast-on in waste yarn is carefully undone once the cowl is knit to the desired length to place the live stitches onto a second set of needles for grafting using the Kitchener stitch method.
