Langit
Looking up, blue skies, criss-crossed by the contrails left by those travelling to far off lands. These socks are inspired by wanderlust, where will your day dreams take you?
Columns of rib soar upwards traversed by a solo column of travelling rib that curves inwards and then swoops back out across the leg. Rhythmic to knit these socks are worked from the toe up meaning you can eek out every last glorious metre of your beautiful skein.
The 2 x 2 rib pattern is easy to work and the travelling cable adds interest without being too taxing on the brain – making these the perfect travel project. Take them along with you on your daily commute, travel to the ends of the earth with them or simply allow wanderlust to absorb your thoughts from the comfort of your armchair.
The bold blue yarn compliments the strong lines of this design and echoes wide blue cloudless skies, the fuel that feeds my wanderlust.
The name Langit means sky in Sudanese, a form of Arabic spoken by over 29 million people living in northern Sudan.
