NOCIONES PREVIAS
Para tejer este chal es necesario saber tejer punto del derecho, del
revés, hacer un montaje con i-cord, hacer aumentos, conocer la
técnica de los puntos deslizados y rematar con i-cord. Es imprescindible
saber leer gráficos, ya que las instrucciones para tejer el
cuerpo del chal con un motivo de puntos deslizados se dan únicamente
en forma de gráfico.
CONSTRUCCIÓN
Este chal se teje desde la parte superior hacía la inferior (top-down)
empezando por un montaje con i-cord, se remontan los puntos y
a continuación se teje en plano, teniendo en cuenta se teje deslizando
al acabar la vuelta para tejer dos veces por el derecho y dos
por el revés, de una forma similar a la técnica de brioche. Creciendo
hacia los laterales y hacia abajo, su forma final es triangular. Se
remata con un cierre en i-cord.

SKILLS
To knit this shawl you need to know how to knit and purl, to perform
an i-cord cast-on, to make increases, to be familiar with slipping
stitches, as well as to perform an i-cord bind-off. It is essential
to be able to follow charted instructions, as they are used for the
body of the shawl and written instructions are not provided.
CONSTRUCTION
This shawl is knit top-down, starting with an i-cord cast-on, stitches
are picked up and it is then worked flat, slipping stitches to the
other end of the needles to work each row twice from the right
side and then twice from the wrong side, in a similar way as when
two-colour brioche is being worked. Shaped with increases at the
centre and on the sides, its final shape is triangular. It is finished
with an i-cord bind-off.
