Lady Liberty
Lady Liberty came to life after I travelled to New York and returned with a few skeins of wonderful yarn. Somehow the image of the Statue of Liberty must have been on my mind, when I had the brain wave and suddenly knew what I wanted to do with this yarn. You will need two contrasting yarns of the same weight. Ideally of the same brand, but this is not mandatory. This pattern is designed for fingering yarn. For the inner parts 400 yards will do, for the outer parts you will need approximately 440 yards. I made two with two skeins of Jitterbug 400, but they weighed 160g/5.64oz.
This is a seamless modular knit. You will join the pieces as you go. The instructions are written and charted for all parts. You will find photo tutorials on various advanced knitting techniques that are required for the Lady Liberty shawlette.
Happy Knitting
