FEATURING FOUR lace patterns that merge and flow into one another with each colour shift, this shawl is a delicate and romantic accessory. Once the lace portions are complete, the upper body of the shawl is worked back and forth in stocking stitch and executed in the darkest colour of the gradient. Short rows create a crescent shape before a simple fifth lace section is added prior to casting off. Each colour is worked until the yarn runs out, meaning the knitter will use almost every bit of yarn. The original pattern does not specify a particular yarn, but we have suggested using John Arbon’s Knit By Numbers, which comes in a choice of 103 shades!

YARN:
Any 4ply 100% merino yarn, using a set of six colours, with approx. 120m of each colour (total yardage required 730m/798yds)

Instructions are written, but lace patterns are charted only.
