This lovely, vintage inspired cardigan will become your new wardrobe staple. It pairs equally well with jeans or your favorite dress. You may find you need more than one! Worked from the top down, La Marguerite features brioche rib in the yoke, three-quarter sleeves, and folded hems.

This garment is intended to be worn with 4” of positive ease. However, it fits snugly through the shoulders, therefore if you have broad shoulders, you may wish go to go up a size.

Garthenor Organics Beacons (60% Polworth/40% Romney); 147 yds (135 m) /50g
6 (7, 8, 8, 9, 9, 10, 10, 11, 11, 12, 12, 13, 13) skeins

For Neck Ribbing, Yoke, and Body 24” and 40” circular needle: 3.75 mm (US 5) – or size needed to obtain gauge

For hem if using method #1 (Optional) 40” circular needle: 3.25 mm (US4) – or one size smaller than needed to obtain gauge

For Sleeves One set of double pointed needles, or preferred method for working small circumferences in the round: 3.75 (US 5) – or size needed to obtain gauge

Two stitch holders or scrap yarn for placing sleeve sts on hold

Locking stitch markers

2 large buttons, the buttons on the sample measure 1 ¼” / 32 mm in diameter.

Tapestry needle to weave in ends

Smooth, colorfast waste yarn in slightly contrasting color to mark hem
