La Laguna
La Laguna, named after the Spanish word for ‘lagoon,’ alternates subtly varied bands of solid and mesh fabric for an interesting rippling effect across the shawl.
This little shawl design is the perfect vacation or carry-along project, calling for only a single skein of fingering-weight yarn and making the most of that precious skein you have been saving, whether solid, semi-solid, or variegated.
Videos are provided to explain the knitting techniques, which include only garter, eyelets, and slip stitches, and no purl stitches at all. Such an easy and fun project that you might not be able to stop at just one!
This airy design is easy to work from fully written-out directions with stitch counts, as well as a schematic and an easy-to-read chart.
One skein project & no purls! The shawl looks equally pretty on both sides.
