This pattern is available in Low Vision Format, with 22-24 point Font size, black text, no italics, sans serif, and fully written directions. There is an enlarged chart included, but it is not necessary to work the pattern.

The cloche style hat is possibly one of the most flattering hats around. It can be worn with the brim in any position you choose, and will frame your face beautifully.

It is written for sizes SM, M and LG, but is meant to fit with little to no negative ease, setting on the head, rather than hugging the head like a beanie style hat.

A bit of lace dresses the contrasting color band. Shown here in two contrasting/coordinating colors, it can also be done in a single color. The design is quite basic, but also very versatile, giving you a number of options for your personal needs and taste.

It works up very quickly and takes less than 1 skein (100gr/200 yards) of a light worsted weight yarn. You will need approximately 120 yards of the main color, and 50 yards of the contrast color.

The gauge is 20 stitches for 4 inches of stockinette in the round on US size 8 (5.0 mm) circular needles or DPNs (your choice). If you have trouble getting gauge, just go down a needle size to US size 7 (4.5 mm) or smaller.

This pattern uses a provisional cast on which will be picked up when the brim is folded up and connected for the body. Any style of provisional cast on should work fine for this pattern.

The chart used in this pattern is also completely written out for your convenience.
