Pattern notes:
Kyley is a top-down crescent-shape shawl, started with Garter Tab CO and worked with either single yo or double increases in every row in order to get its crescent shape.
The shawl has a garter stitch edging, 3 stitches wide, outside the increase stitches to prevent it from curling. This means that the first and the last three stitches of each row are always knit, which creates little bumps and makes the edge look nicer.
Finishing the shawl using the Picot BO creates a beautiful border across the bottom of the shawl. 

Size is adjustable by working more or fewer repeats, but please note, that changes will affect the finished size and required yardage.

The pattern contains schematics, charts and written instructions, photo tutorials. It has been professionally tech edited and test knitted.

Finished (blocked) size:
Width (side to side): approx. 217 cm / 85.5”

Height (at deepest point): approx. 51 cm / 20”
Size is adjustable

Suggested yarn: 

2 skeins of Malabrigo Mechita in 710 Desert colourway, 100% superwash merino wool, approx. 100 g / 385 m / 420 yds per skein,
or approx. 181 g / 697 m / 762 yds of fingering weight yarn that gives you the gauge. Yardage for the gauge swatch is included.


Needles: 

3 mm / US 2.5 or size needed to obtain gauge, at least 120 cm / 47” long circular needles (length according to your preference).


Notions: 

28 stitch markers (to mark the pattern repeats)

row counter

tapestry needle

blocking pins, wires, and mats (not required, but would be useful)


Gauge:
22.25 sts and 35 rows = 10 cm / 4” over pattern on 3 mm / US 2.5 needles, measured flat after blocking and slightly stretched.
