Kuunteleva metsä is worked from the top down. The socks feature an all-over colourwork pattern, a short-row heel and a rounded toe. You can knit wither a shorter or longer version of the leg, depending on your preference.

You can substitute Aara Mieli with another fingering weight yarn (or any yarn you can get gauge with). Great alternatives are for example Finnish Vuonue Wilhelmi, German Schachenmayr Regia Premium Merino Yak, Danish Filcolana Arwetta or Norwegian Sandnes Garn Sisu.
