VERY IMPORTANT: this pattern is designed to be worked with NUTIDEN or unspun yarn. If substituting for aran weight yarn, make sure to use that held single.

Kume is a seamless sweater that includes versions to be knit either BOTTOM UP or TOP DOWN. You choose! It is the ideal companion of the Kume Cardigan.

The pattern features a cable detail at the side seams and sleeves and a folded neck for extra warmth.

Sample is knit in size 2 with 8-15 cm / (3.5-6”) of positive ease at the bust.

Needles
5.5 mm / US9 circular needle, cable length 80 cm / 32” for the body (or needle size to obtain gauge) and a shorter cable or dpns to work the sleeves and yoke.

5 mm / US8 circular needle, cable length 80 cm / 32” for the ribbing (or needle size to obtain gauge) and a shorter cable or dpns to work the cuff and collar.

Gauge
16 sts x 17 rows =1 0x10cm/4x4” in stockinette stitch in the round after blocking.

Yarn
The Kume set was originally worked in Nutiden Yarn by Honer och Eir (100% unspun wool). This yarn comes in 100 gr plates.
A good yarn alternative is Snefnug by CaMaRose.
