Konami is a Japanese word meaning ‘small wave’. For this top, I wanted to represent flowing water, and have achieved this with an easy stitch pattern that looks like cables, but is actually created with simple yarnovers and decreases!

The a-line shape is flattering on most women, the top bodice is fitted, and the bottom flows loosely in spirals around the lower body.

Knitted in the round from the bottom up with large needles, you’ll be done and wearing this is no time! The cotton tape yarn is a lot of fun to knit with, or use your favorite lightweight
bulky yarn.

Finished Sizes
To fit approx bust sizes 30 – 32 (32 – 34 , 34 – 36, 38 – 40)(40 – 42, 42 – 44 , 46 – 48)” / 76 – 81.5 (81.5 – 86.5, 86.5 – 91.5, 96.5 – 101.5)(101.5 – 106.5, 106.5 – 112, 117 – 122) cm
Measurements:
Bust – 25 ¼ (28, 30 ½, 33 ¼)(36, 38 ½, 44)” / 64 (71, 77.5, 84.5)(91.5, 98, 112) cm
Hip – 36 (38 ¼ , 40 ½ , 43)(47 ½ , 49 ¾ , 53 ¼ )” / 91.5 (97, 103, 109)(120.5, 126.5, 135.5) cm

  • Note: Top is intended to fit with a lot of negative ease, I recommend choosing a size 4 – 6” smaller than your actual bust size. The hip area should fit more loosely.

  • This is an intermediate/advanced beginner pattern. You need to be able to work more than one pattern stitch at a time, decrease within the pattern, pick up stitches and work in the round.
