As a tribute to Ravelry this is a free pattern.

This tubular cowl is knitted bottom up, using the tubular cast on and bind off to give it a professional look. The explanations about how to work these techniques are not part of this pattern.

You can wear this cowl in two directions: With the flaps at the bottom to add more warmth to the parts of your body that are usually not covered by a cowl, or with the flaps on top of the cowl to fold down like a collar.

You start in rows with a front flap, then knit a back flap and join to knit in rounds.

The blurred-in contrasting color makes the cowl interesting to knit.

The motif is a simple varriation of the seed stitch.
