Koala the Native Bear
by Isobel
This pattern is
available for free.
Materials: Four skeins silver grey rug wool, one pair No. 8 needles, calico for body, stuffing (kapok or old, clean rags), two black shoe buttons for eyes, one piece black felt for nose.
How the Australian children just adore Baby Koala, the Native Bear, and each one of those fortunate enough to have visited Koala Park and seen the tiny bears in their natural surroundings just longs to have one for his or her very own pet. However, as children are unable to keep a real live one in captivity why not make a toy one for the tiny girl or boy? It would make a lovely surprise in a Xmas stocking.
