Cascade Yarns® will be donating the proceeds from the sale of this pattern to the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund to assist those impacted by the recent bushfires. Fires this season have burned an estimated 72,000 square miles, destroyed over 5,900 buildings (including 2,779 homes) and killed at least 34 people. The Australian Red Cross has provided more than 1,180 emergency grants each worth $10,000 AUD (totaling $11.8 million AUD) to people whose homes have been destroyed by bushfires. More than 2,000 Australian Red Cross staff and volunteers have been and are providing around the clock support to communities impacted by the bushfires.

Now through August 1, 2020, Cascade Yarns® will distribute the net proceeds that it receives (monies received less the fees charged by Ravelry) for purchase of the Koala Luv Hat. Additionally, Cascade Yarns® will match these funds, doubling the donation.
