This pattern has 4 sizes designed to fit toddler, child, teen, and adult but if none of these sizes work for you you can easily adjust by adding or subtracting a multiple of 6, which adds or subtracts approximately 2”/5 cm to the final size.

Stitch patterns used:
Knit
Purl
K2tog
Right Twist (aka 2 stitch right cable) which can easily be executed without a cable needle

The adult male sample used a little less than 1 skein of Rasta (18 g remaining so not even yarn chicken!) and was worked from start to finish in about 2 hours (with no interruptions)

I recently completed a size XS and Sk using only 1 skein! The last picture shows those hats side by side along with the remaining yarn.
