Size can be adjusted by altering gauge slightly: fewer stitches per inch (larger needle) will make a bigger hat; more stitches per inch (smaller needle) will make a smaller hat.

This pattern is suitable for variegated yarn, which would substitute for all the contrast colors and save weaving in all those ends!
