The Knitty Paladin hat was designed for Operation: Social Justice set up by GamerCrafting to spread some Radical Kindness in the knitting community. Over 170 dyers, designers and makers have come together to raise money for some of the most marginilised people in our society. For the duration of Operation: Social Justice 20% of proceeds from the sale of this pattern went to Mermaids UK who help young transgender people in our community.

The hat features a heart and flame motif with a star crown to represent the light and love we can all bring into our communities across the world. No matter how small your actions seem, millions of people doing them will spread kindness across the world.

This is a fully charted design with minimal written instructions however is easy to follow and a great introduction to using charts.

The hat can be worn with 0-2in of negative ease.

You will need roughly 110 meters of the main colour and 80 meters of the contrast colour.
