This pattern was published in the Australian Town and Country newspaper on 2 October 1886. No gauge is given, but the quilt could be knitted in any yarn with appropriate sized needles.

The antique quilt’s repeating pattern is knitted in strips which are then joined together and finished with a simple crochet edging.

Knitted in stripes of 100 stitches, or cast on any number of stitches divisible by five.
