Knitflix and Chill
“Knitflix and chill” is a portmanteau of “knitting” and “Netflix,” created as a playful twist on the slang term “Netflix and chill”. It refers to a casual and relaxing activity of both knitting and watching movies or TV shows simultaneously, often used to describe a cozy and communal hobby experience.
This shawl combines relaxing and easy-to-memorize feather and fan repeats. I made it larger than many stoles, as I wanted the dramatic, night on the town stole, over my arms. I have also included 2 smaller options. The squishy garter body allows a meditative zen, while there is just enough pattern to keep you engaged while watching your favorite show.
I will give you exactly how I created the shawl pictured, but I can also imagine it with more main color, fewer mini-skeins, or as a scrappy stash-busting project.
Size: (small) @ 6 ft long, (med) @ 8 ft long, (large) @ 11.5 ft long
Materials:
For the shawl pictured (large), I used 1 400 yd skein (100 g) for the main color and 12 mini-skeins, 128 yards (28 g) each
