Knit With Attitude Logo Chart
‘I created this chart from the Knit With Attitude logo and you can apply it to any design you wish. Cushion covers, jumpers, blankets and cardigans. The possibilities are endless.’ - George Cullen
Knit With Attitude logo designed by Aleks Byrd. Chart by George Cullen.
The chart was originally published on the Knit With Attitude blog.
The cushion front was knitted with two skeins of Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk Sølje in the colours: 2119 Gul and 2133 Marineblå.
Please note this pattern is just the chart which can be applied to any design you wish. There is a basic guide to knitting the cushion cover which can be found below. Gauge and yarn requirements will vary depending on yarn used.
Chart Notes
• The chart is worked over 90 stitches and 130 rows and comprises of stranded colourwork finished with embroidered lettering.
• Knitted stitches are marked on the chart in black and embroidered stitches in red.
• To avoid long floats catch your contrast colour every four or five stitches. Never catch floats at the same place on multiple rows.
• When working areas of the chart that are far from the main details of the design as in the left side of the arm or the left and right sides of the text border, you might find it easier to knit them in separate strands of your contrast colour rather than having long floats.
• When embroidering the text use pins to help divide up the text area and mark letter placement.
• The cushion cover front was knit in 4ply on 2mm needles. Cast on 150 stitches and knit 26 rows. On the next row knit 30 stitches and place a stitch marker to mark the beginning of the chart stitches. Knit through the first row of the chart and place a stitch marker to mark the end of the chart stitches. Knit to end of row. Continue knitting until you have worked through the whole chart then knit 26 more rows and cast off.
Design for personal use only.
