Yes, this is a crochet! My mini collection of knit-look crochet garments is dedicated to all of those who love knit looks but do not knit. Now you can make very similar items with crochet. This technique is unique but pretty simple! No slip stitch crochet involved. Works up pretty fast and you will fall in love with the texture!
Even if the sizes described in the pattern are up to 13 years, I explain how to make it in any adult size as well!

Materials
For this poncho I used worsted weight yarn Drops Alaska for the collar and edging and the mix of two yarns – Drops Lima (DK weight yarn) worked together with Alpaca Silk yarn. However, you can work it entirely of worsted weight yarn, in this case, the yarn amount needed should be calculated in yards. For example, for size 1-2y you need 218y of DK weight yarn and the same amount of brushed alpaca yarn, but if you are going to use worsted weight yarn only you will need 218y of worsted weight yarn, plus the yarn for the collar.

• approx. 50(100,100,100,150)g or 77(154,154,154,231) yards of any worsted weight
yarn - MC yarn (I used Drops Alaska, shade 49)
• approx. 100(150,200,250,300) or 218(327,436,545,654)yards of any DK weight yarn - CC yarn (I used Drops Lima, shade 5310)
• you will need the same amount in yards of Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk yarn as DK weight yarn (or you can use similar, mohair or alpaca yarn), 218(327,436,545,654)yards (I used shade 05)
• crochet hook 4.5mm or size needed to obtain gauge
• 4 stitch markers
• 2 big buttons (2.5cm diameter)
• tapestry needle

Gauge
With worsted weight yarn – work 17sts and 9 rows in hdc to measure 10x10cm or 4x4in using 4.5mm hook, or size required to obtain the gauge
With mix of DK weight yarn and Brushed Alpaca or with only worsted weight yarn – you will have 6 repeats of the main pattern - (sc, ch2, sc) in each next ch2-sp per 10x10cm or 4x4in
