Today I have a new knit scarf pattern ready for you and I am entirely too excited about this one. I have only ever really made anything in back and forth rows, or knitting and purling only, but I was a little afraid to do any combination of them past k1/p1.

But then Amethyst Mermaid Designs reached out to me earlier in the year and asked if I wanted to create a knit pattern for a little fundraising for a charity of choice and I thought why not?! So I dug through my stash to make this a stash buster too, and found this perfect set of Halloween themed minis I was gifted years ago but never knew what to make with them. I knew it needed to be thicker in weight though, so I grabbed some of my left over Red Door Fibers yarn from my Mark Kate Crop Top and held it with the minis.

After that I just started knitting. I started with some ribbing, then went for a basic section of alternating knitting and purling rows. I moved onto some different stich combos, but wanted to keep this knit scarf a little different than the others and only use the knit stitch and the purl stitch, no twisting or cables or skipping or dropping, just simple blends of alternating stitches.
