Knightly
This deceptively simple hooded cowl is worked almost entirely flat in garter stitch, which means minimal purling! The sample is worked in two colorways, but feel free to substitute more or less colors. A sleek round hood frames the face with structure. Choose a favorite yarn and allow this versatile cowl to armor you against the coming fall and winter chill.

Pattern Notes
The first section is knit back and forth in garter stitch and later seamed. Another rectangle is knit to form the back and sides of the hood. The top of the hood is worked in the round, decreasing to form a spiral top. Finally, the brim is added by picking up stitches around the front edge of the hood. Short rows provide shaping to frame the face for a crisp finish.
