Instructions on front of chart sheet, chart Fig. 7, photo page 15, bottom right.
Original instructions call for size 70 crochet thread and “Stahlstricknadeln Nr. 7/0”, a fine steel knitting needle size between 1.75 and 2mm, for a finished doily 25 cm in diameter.
Klee means clover.
Note: There are two designers listed for Beyer Band 711: Herbert Niebling and Marianne Vitt. Please see this forum post for an explanation of why Marianne Vitt is the presumed designer of this pattern.
