Pattern notes
Eye Cushion uses a combination of amigurumi method (working in a spiral without closing each round with ss) and working in rows. Each Eye is worked in one piece and forms a front and back. Pupil and Iris are worked in rounds, then White of Eye is worked in rounds and short rows. Short rows are added to each side of a round; sts added in short rows contribute to st count of previous round. Surface crochet ss are added to create a reflection detail and edging between Eye sections, then pieces are joined and a cluster st Pompom Border is worked in final round. Cc at end of White of Eye section in last yoh of st before change as folls: insert hook in st, yoh, pull up loop in previous colour, yoh in new colour and draw new colour through all loops.
The pattern for the Kiss & Tell Cushions appears in YARN Bookazine 16 - Shimmerland, published by Scheepjes. YARN Bookazine is available in print in both UK English and Dutch language and is available from Scheepjes retailers.
