“THIS DESIGN combines embossed four-stitch cables with garter stitch texture to create statement pattern panels on the fronts and back,” says Emma Vining. “The diamond pattern panel is mirror-imaged on either side of the front openings, and is worked in full across the back.” The waistcoat is knitted flat from the bottom up in three pieces; the front bands and armhole edges are knitted in garter rib pattern at the same time as the fronts and back.
