Kids Sleepy Sloth Sweater
Let’s face it making a Christmas jumper takes a while and little ones grow so quickly. So I decided to design a Christmas jumper for children that will get maximum wear and has tons of personality.
(You are buying directly from the designer, which means I can offer pattern support should you need it).
As a Sloth is not just for Christmas, this adorable kids jumper has a removeable Santa Hat! It also comes with additional intarsia charts so you can chose to have your Sleepy Sloth laying on a tree branch or a candy cane.
There is also an adult size version available of this pattern available, see separate listing.
Knit in DK weight yarn, this is a fantastic stash busting pattern. Worked from the bottom up and seamed. Charts are included to work the intarsia sections of the design.
Sized to fit approx. ages 1-9 years. Please see table below for yarn and sizing information.
Check out the video in the image section
The sweater is knitted from the bottom up with an intarsia panel for the Sloth and candy cane (or branch). Small applique pieces are knitted separately and sewn on at the end. The snowflakes are added at the end using dulpicate stitch, so you can have some fun, making your sweater just the way you want it.
There is also an adult size version available of this pattern available.
Needles:
Straight 3.25mm & 4mm
Circulars 3.25mm (useful for working the neck, but could be worked on straight needles)
Also Needed:
Darning needle
Stitch markers
Stitch holder
Sewing needle and thread
Oddment of Dark Grey or Black DK yarn
3 x 2cm white buttons
Difficulty:
Simple sweater construction, some experience of Intarsia knitting required.
Please see table below on my website for yarn and sizing information.
