Pattern stitch for gauge:
Row 1: Sc into the 2nd ch from hook, (ch 1, skip 1 ch, sc in next ch) to last ch, sc in last ch. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first st, (ch 1, skip 1 st, sc in next ch-1 space) to last st, sc in last st. Turn. Repeat Row 2 for pattern.
