This snug-fitting cowl uses the stranded colourwork technique to create a warm and colourful fabric to keep out the winter draughts. The pattern is written with two size options, an 18” (46cm) circumference or 21¼” (54cm) circumference, to fit closely around the neck when worked to pattern tension of 22 sts and 28 rows to 4” (10cm) measured over blocked colourwork stocking stitch. Use two solid colours for a classic look or try one (or two!) multi-coloured yarns to brighten up a dull winter day. The smaller size uses approximately 75 yds (70m) of MC yarn and 55yds (50m) of CC yarn, making this an excellent stashbuster project. You will need approx. 90yds (82m) and 66yds (60m) respectively for the larger size.
Use one 50g ball of each colour of DK yarn.

You need to be able to: work in the round, work stranded colourwork from a colour chart
