Kel is a fun shawl that plays with the concept of gender and the portrayal of masculinity/femininity in art.
From the soft, rounded triangular shape combined with a “frilled” edge to the graphic angles and stripes, Kel is all about defining yourself however you want – all in a fun, funky squishy shawl.
This shawl is constructed from the bottom up with the edging applied as you work the body of the shawl – alternating between holding yarn held double or single stranded to create the drape and contrast of textures in the fabric.
Size: Sample shown measures: 82 in/208 cm along the top edge; 24 in/61 cm along the center of the shawl. Shawl size may vary, depending on individual knitter’s gauge, yarns used, and blocking preferences.
