This pattern is designed for Kauni 8/2 Effektgarn and brings out the colour changes of two different colourways best - but will work with other yarn, too.
It is a long tube and will be blocked flat first, then twisted once to give it a fake Möbius look and then grafted. You only knit – there is not a single purl stitch - in the round - it is stranded all over but the pattern is easy to memorize - all you need is a little patience !

If you use Kauni, make sure you have two big skeins with at least 160 gr each if you want it the same size – Kauni skeins come in different weights, there are also smaller ones.
You can easily adjust the size of the cowl in width and length – but please make sure the number of pattern repeats in width is an even number – otherwise twisting the tube and grafting it won´t work. Also make sure to purchase more yarn if you want to make it wider or longer.

Es wird als Schlauch gestrickt und zunächst geblockt und dann einmal um 180 Grad gedreht. Man strickt ausschließlich rechts – in Runden – es gibt nicht eine einzige linke Masche. Das Fair Isle Muster wird durchgehend gestrickt, man kann es aber schnell auswendig – alles, was man benötigt, ist etwas Geduld !

Achtung, die Kauni-Knäule gibt es in verschiedenen Gewichtsklassen – man benötigt mindestens je 150 Gramm – einige Testknitter haben noch mehr benötigt.
Der Cowl kann ganz einfach in Größe und Länge angepasst werden – allerdings muss die Anzahl der Wiederholungen in der Runde eine gerade Zahl sein, sonst funktioniert das Zusammennähen nach der 180 Grad Drehung nicht mustergemäß. Das Original hat einen Umfang von ca. 115 cm und sitzt locker.
