Pattern notes:
• Written in US terms
• Easily adapted for width and length.
• We work this wrap from left to right rather than bottom to top. Our first row therefore creates the height and we work to the length we desire.
At Sunflower Cottage Crochet, we have experienced crochet artisans to test our patterns for accuracy and readability. Our crochet pattern will teach you how to create the pefect gift for any occasion. The Kate wrap is perfect for those chillier days as we (not so patiently) await the warmer weather! It makes an elegant and cosy gift or project for yourself. Its size means it is versatile and will be loved by any age group!
❤ LAYOUT:
Our patterns all share the same layout which is easy to read and easy to find important information you need, such as materials needed, sizing information, gauge information, and special stitches used as well as how to do them. These stitches often come with an accompanying video for further clarification.
❤ SIZE:
The Kate Wrap is approximately 24’’ x 72’’ - we include the stitch multiple for you to adapt it to suit your specifications.
❤ MATERIALS:
We used Women’s Institute Aran and a 5mm hook. It took me approx 950 yard, but some of testers used up to around 1100 yards for theirs! The yarn you use may therefore affect the size of the finished project … but with this pattern that is really not an issue!
You can use any yarn you like, just remember, if it is a thinner yarn, you may need to make the project larger—this is why we provide the stitch multiple! #3 or DK weight yarn would give this pattern a much more lacy look for the spring!
