Cables and Lace together in one project, what could be more relaxing and rewarding? I put them together in a loose fitting cardigan with a shawl collar. A sweater you can almost live in year round.

Knit from the bottom up starting with a lacy rib pattern that transitions into charted cables and lace. Sleeves are also knit bottom up with a saddle shoulder attached. Button band, with or without buttonholes depending upon style of clasp or button, and shawl collar are knit on after the sweater is blocked and sewn together. Shawl collar is knit using short rows in a moss stitch pattern.
