Mittens with traditional Russian patterning.

These mittens are based on a traditonal Russian mitten pattern. The back of the hand is the original version. The palm is a “what if?” What if some of the contrast stitches were changed to the background colour?
Make It Your Own: Work one mitten as per the pattern, work the other with the palm and back patterns reversed. Work with one painted and one solid. Work the cuffs in the main colour. Leave out the border pattern. Work ½ inch of ribbing, work the border, work more ribbing.
