Kalmte is knitted seamlessly, starting in rows at the back and shaping the raglan-like shoulder lines with increases. From these lines, you then pick up stitches to knit the shoulders and, at the same time, shape the neckline with increases. The shoulders are then joined by casting on stitches and the front is then worked to the hem without shaping. Finally, you pick up stitches around the neckline to knit a turtleneck or roll neck in rounds, depending on your preference. The entire neckwarmer is worked in a half-twisted rib pattern, with slipped edge stitches and a tubular cast-off rounding off the design.

Kalmte is a design from our 2023 collection. In these turbulent times, there is much cause for reflection. And especially the desire for serenity and calm, for light-heartedness and peace. We have therefore named the designs in this collection after this longing, in different languages. Kalmte means calmness in Dutch.
