Simple cabled fingerless mitts in one size that accommodates a range of hand sizes due to the elasticity of the design, knit from cuff to fingers. The shaping on the cuff means the mitt hugs the inside of the wrist and is less likely to get in the way if you wear them while working. Cuff and finger length is adjustable to your preference.

Gauge is not critical and this pattern can be knit successfully at a tighter or looser gauge depending on your fit preference for mitts. Please be aware that altering gauge will affect the amount of yarn required.

Full written instructions are given, with a chart of the simple 4 row repeat included for reference.

You may use stitch markers if that is your preference but please be advised that they are not referred to in the pattern instructions.

I used approximately 65g of yarn for mitts with a 10 cm/4 inch cuff before beginning the thumb gusset shaping.
Mitts with 8.25 cm/3.25 inch cuff used all of 50g.

Instructions are for one size – after blocking approximate measurements for the green mitts with a 10 cm/4 inch cuff are:
Length – 25.5cm or 10 inches
Width (flat) – 16.5cm or 3.25 inches unstretched (double for circumference)
This easily fits over my 22.5cm or 9 inch palm.

The pattern has been successfully test knit.
