If you’d like to make the shawl using the same yarn, I’m offering kits in my Cecily Grove Yarns online shop. More details here.

Size
One size
approx. 165 cm/65” wide and 75 cm/30” long at center spine.

Yarn
3 skeins of Cecily Grove Yarns Goya Merino (100% merino; 400m/437y per 100g) or any other fingering weight yarn which gives you the correct gauge.
Shown in colorways: Rust (CC1), Industrial (CC2) and Jungle (CC3), 1 skein each.

Needles
3.5mm/US #4 circular needle (100 cm/40” long).

Other
2 stitch markers, tapestry needle for weaving, blocking pins.

Gauge
25 sts and 44 rows = 10 cm/4” in Garter stitch worked flat (after wet blocking).
The gauge isn’t crucial on this project, but differences will affect the finished size as well as the required yardage.

Construction
The shawl begins at the top center and is worked outwards to the border. The body of the shawl is worked alternating Garter stitch with a slipped stitch pattern. Four increases in every RS row (one at each end and one on each side of the center or “spine” stitch - shown in bold throughout the instructions), create the triangular shape. The shawl is ideal to showcase beautiful color combinations of solid yarns paired with a variegated skein.

If you purchase 5 of my self-published designs at the same time (they need to be in the same cart), you will get the least expensive for free!
