Kalø
The shawl is knitted flat, but by breaking the yarn for each row, you can always knit on the right side.
On both sides of the work there are extra stitches that hold the edges in place during knitting, and which will be used in connection with finishing at the end. The shawl can of course be knitted back and forth if you wish (in which case you don’t need the stitches on the sides) or you can choose to knit the shawl in the round and then cut it up.
Due to the small patterns and the very mixed colors, the shawl is a suitable leftover project.
The shawl, which is shown in the pattern, is knitted with Blackhill Highland wool in 9 different colors. The colors in the charts refer to the color distribution I have chosen.
The shawl is knitted on 3 mm needles. The edges are knitted on 2.5 mm needles..
The pattern include charts, where the motifs are marked with light gray and white. With colored pencils it is possible to color it and make your own color distribution.
