Fil
J’ai tricoté le mien avec 4 coloris de Bio Balance de chez Bc Garn (55% laine, 45% coton, 225 m dans 50 g) :T

• Coloris 1 (C1) : Vert herbe 03, 111 g / 500 m
• Coloris 2 (C2) : Vert sapin 05, 50 g / 225 m
• Coloris 3 (C3) : Écru naturel 01, 50 g / 225 m
• Coloris 4 (C4) : Rouge 08, 57 g / 260 m

Pour la réalisation de certains motifs, il est préférable que C2 et C3 contrastent bien entre eux, ainsi que C1 et C4.

Si vous souhaitez tricoter une version plus colorée, c’est possible ! Voici la quantité de fil nécessaire pour chaque partie :

• Pour la partie 1, on utilise 10 g / 45 m de C1
et 2 g / 9 m de C2, C3 et C4.
• Pour la partie 2, on utilise 33 g / 149 m de C1
et 7 g / 32 m de C2, C3 et C4.
• Pour la partie 3, on utilise 30 g / 135 m de C1
et 7 g / 32 m de C2, C3 et C4.
• Pour la partie 4, on utilise 4 g / 18 m de C1
et 34 g / 153 m de C2 et 31 g / 140 m de C3.
• Pour la partie 5, on utilise 34 g / 153 m de C1,
3 g / 14 m de C3 et 41 g / 185 m de C4.

Échantillon
L’échantillon est très variable selon les techniques employées dans les différentes parties du châle. Comme je ne veux pas dévoiler ce qui vous attend et que pour un châle, on n’est pas au centimètre près, je vous conseille de prendre un fil du même calibre que moi et de faire un échantillon en jersey non pas pour vérifier les nombres de mailles et rangs, mais pour vérifier votre tension.

Yarn
I worked the sample with 4 colorways of Bio Balance from Bc Garn (55% wool, 45% cotton, 246 yds / 225 m for 50 g):
• Colorway 1 (C1): Grass green 03, 111 g
or 545 yds / 500 m
• Colorway 2 (C2): Pine green 05, 50 g
or 246 yds / 225 m
• Colorway 3 (C3): Off white 01, 50 g
or 246 yds / 225 m
• Colorway 4 (C4): Red 08, 57 g
or 284 yds / 260 m

For certain patterns, it is preferable that C2 and C3 contrast well with each other, as well as C1 and C4.

If you want to work a more colorful one, it’s totally doable! Here are the requested yardages for each clue:

• For clue 1, you’ll use 10 g or 49 yds / 45 m of C1 and 4 g or 20 yds / 18 m of C2, C3 and C4.
• For clue 2, you’ll use 33 g or 163 yds / 149 m of C1 and 7 g or 35 yds / 32 m of C2, C3 and C4.
• For clue 3, you’ll use 30 g or 148 yds / 135 m of C1 and 9 g or 45 yds / 41 m of C2, C3 and C4.
• For clue 4, you’ll use 4 g or 20 yds / 18 m of C1 and 34 g or 167 yds / 153 m of C2 and 31 g / 153 yds / 140 m of C3.
• For clue 5, you’ll use 34 g or 167 yds / 153 m of C1 and 3 g or 15 yds / 14 m of C2 and C3, and 41 g or 202 yds / 185 m of C4.

Gauge
Gauge may vary a lot depending on the used techniques in each shawl section. As I don’t want to spoil you about what’s coming and as it’s a shawl, we are not a centimeter away, I advise you to choose a yarn with the same weight as above and to swatch in stockinette stitch, not to check stitch and row gauge but to check your yarn tension and fabric.

In stockinette stotch, gauge is 24 stitches and 33 rows for 10 cm.

Larger side is 61½” / 156 cm, height from the middle of the shawl to the border is 27” / 69 cm.
