Kahina is the name of a Berber warrior queen who fought against the Arab conquerors in the 7th century.
The combination of cables and lace stitches, as well as the shape of the sweater (inverted A), make this piece original and unusual. Construction
Kahina is a sweater knitted from the bottom up, in the round to the armholes, then back and forth for the front and back tops. Once the shoulders are joined, stitches are pulled up for the sleeves, knitted in the round and from the armholes to the cuffs.

The front and back feature a cable and lace pattern that is easy to remember and adds rhythm to the knit. The sleeves are in stockinette stitch.

Sizes
Sizes for this sweater are determined by hip circumference. Measure the hip circumference at the top of the hips, not at the widest point of the buttocks, but just above. This is where the sweater will sit.
The sweater is designed to be worn with 10 cm of positive ease.
Sizes range from 85 cm / 33.5 inches to 150 cm / 59 inches of hip circumference.

Construction
Kahina est un pull pour femme tricoté de bas en haut, en rond jusqu’aux emmanchures, puis en aller-retour pour les hauts du devant et du dos. Une fois les épaules jointes, des mailles sont relevées pour les manches, tricotées en rond et des emmanchures aux poignets.

Le devant et le dos comportent un motif de torsades et de dentelles qui se retient facilement et viennent rythmer le tricot. Les manches sont en jersey endroit.

Tailles
Les tailles de ce pull sont déterminées par le tour de hanches. Mesurer le tour de hanches sur le haut des hanches, pas au plus large des fesses, mais juste au-dessus. C’est là que le pull viendra se poser.
