The original mitten was collected to Estonian National museum by painter Kristjan Raud, from Kadrina Parish.

The PDF contains a chart for one mitten and museum legend from the original item. There are no instructions how to knit this. The chart is based on stitch counts on the museum object and the end result you knit might be too tight or too long to be wearable mitten on modern hands. You are welcome to add or remove repeats to mitten width or length to make this usable accessory.

Knitted with Estonian wool yarn (like Aade 8/2 or Kauni 8/2) and 1.5 mm needles these will fit to small adult hand or to teenager.
