Just A Cable Scarf
A fun, quick cable project by Black Squirrel Yarns shop owner Maia Discoe that can be made in any weight of yarn up to an Aran weight. Heavy yarns make the cable crossing very difficult. Pick a yarn that is not overly drapey. This scarf benefits from a yarn with some structure.
It can easily be made with one skein, even a 50g skein if it is a thinner yarn. Each version shown uses one skein. This is a perfect project for a special skein or as a stash buster.
It can be worn as a scarf, headband, or belt.
Difficulty Level
Advanced beginner, skills required are increasing, decreasing, and cabling.
Notions
Removable stitch markers (3), tapestry needle, and a cable needle or dpn (see notes at beginning of pattern instructions).
Gauge
Gauge is not critical. The scarf can be worked as long as you like or until you run out of yarn. The versions shown are as long as they can be using one skein.
