June Scarf (continuous granny circles)
For the June I was inspired by granny circles. I made them in a continuous row, like one long motif.
This scarf isn’t meant to be warm, it is long and skinny for decoration, because it is too warm here in the UK for a scarf in June!
I chose the colours from the colours in my garden, it has turned more green at the moment, but there are still a few geraniums and alchemilla – which gave me the inspiration for these colours.
You can of course choose any colours you like, and any weight of yarn provided you use a suitable hook size. I did my first small sample in double knit and I think that would make a lovely thicker and warmer scarf for the cooler months.
If you are used to granny stitches, you will find this makes up very quickly – a couple of evenings is all the crochet time you will need to make it.
The scarf is approx. 9 cm (3.5”) wide by 185 cm (73”) long when blocked.
Please note I crochet quite loosely, so you may require a bigger hook.
The pattern is written in English and US crochet terms, and is charted.
IMPORTANT NOTE: New regulations in the EU (with effect from 13th June 2014) mean that patterns aren’t refundable after download. However, if you’re unhappy in any way with your pattern I can still offer a refund / replacement.
