Julianna
Inspired by an old circular doily that my great-grandmother, Julianna, made, this half-pi shawl begins at the top edge with a garter tab cast on. Stitches are picked up and knit along the edge of the garter tab and the shawl is worked downward and outward from there.
Although this is a shawl, it is important to obtain gauge in order to avoid running out of yarn. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain gauge. The gauge given in the pattern is a blocked gauge.
This pattern contains both charts and written instructions for the stitch patterns.
